RC Headquarters International Raceway is located right next to the Store and offers the best RC racing in San Antonio! We work hard to keep it one of the world's premier off-road RC racing facilities. The track offers challenging layouts that will test your skills and timing, as well as a lot (we mean a lot) of jumps to get some seriously big airtime!
The Track is open to the public 7 days a week during business hours. We race twice a week. Wednesday Night is our Family Night and we race Electric's only. Then on Saturday we bring out the Nitros! During the warm months (approximately March through November), we race at night, then move to Saturday afternoons during the Winter. The only time we close it is during rebuilds - normally 3 times a year - and after rainstorms. It's always a good idea to call ahead or check the Race Calendar before you come out.
Track Fees:
Racing - $20.00 on Saturday, $10 on Wednesday There is no charge to watch, so pull up a tailgate, catch the action, and stay awhile.
Practice or Playing - $5.00 for the entire day, or $20 for the month.
All visitors and anyone wishing to use the track Must Sign-in at the Store in Advance!A night-drop is available for those rare times when the store is not open.
Who's allowed to race you ask? Everyone! New, or first time racers are the future of the hobby and we'd genuinely love for you to come out and join in the fun.
RC racers are really a great group of people from all types of backgrounds and all different ages. The one thing we have in common is we are enthusiastic about our hobby, and we really enjoy getting together and having a good time.
The racetrack is a great place to hang-out make some new, fast friends, compete against them, and test yourself in a real racing environment - for a fraction of the cost of other forms of racing - and without the danger.
We race just about every weekend and most of the time it for fun, or Club Racing, but several times year we hold large sanctioned event with racers from all over the state showing up to particiapate. Once a month we have a Jackpot Race with the winner of the selected class taking home up to $150.
Not all the racing is serious. We have numerous silly events each year including out annual Fun(d) Raiser and Halloween Race! The winner of the Halloween Race costume contest gets to race the rest of the year for free.
If you're a hardcore racer looking for some competition we have a full-race facility with a scoring system that'll time each lap to the .001 of a second, excellent stadium lights and a fully-stocked hobby store.
Or if you're just looking to get outside and bash with your friends and scream across the parking lot - we are your Radio Control Headquarters!
